They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing .. and the traditional caps, they looked almost .. as grown up as they felt.

Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.

This class would NOT pray during the commencements----not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.

The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.

The speeches were nice, but they were routine.....until the final speech received a standing ovation.

A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.

All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED !!!!

The student on stage.. simply looked at the audience and said,

'GOD BLESS YOU
And he walked off stage...

The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.

I finished my algebra class, and am moving on to Business's math, and will be done with math this year. Next year I'm going to try and take a English class that counts for High school and college and I'm hoping to try and grad. early (= I'm also going to be taking a driving test soon (WATCH OUT!! (= ) Crystal is having a baby soon so I'm going to be working for her. I'm so exited about that! Its funny to look back at what you use to look like and some of the things you as a little kid use to make a big deal out of... like who liked who and how i want my hair lol.. theirs allot of learning and joy, fun and crying. but all in all god has blessed me and my family so much! yes life seems so hard sometimes. because I share a room and I don't 'Get' all that I want extra extra..but when I comes down to it, I wouldn't give this up for the world! my family is very close and we love each other care more then ever "although sometimes you wouldn't know. ha ha jk" my life is something so many people who SEEM to have ever thing would triad for.. Its so cool to see our church grow from 10 people or so to now almost 200 6= god is moving and doing so many wonderful things in our church and my life.. I am truly blessed to be able to be apart of it!! 1. Blink wildly and then close your eyes really tight for an interesting light show
See a variety of blobs, stars and flashes. Try to make out shapes and see if your subconscious is trying to send you a message

2. See how long you can hold a note
Not that much fun, but it sure passes the time. Play with a friend, or try to beat your own personal best. Inhale deeply and then try and make a noise for as long as you can. Earn extra points for making your partner laugh or ending on an amusing note.

3. Try to not think about penguins
This is especially hard, because by trying too much, you remember what you were trying to avoid thinking of. If you try too little, you end up thinking about penguins anyway.

Daddy's Poem

Her hair was up in a pony tail,
her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
and she couldn't wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her,
that she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
if she went to school alone.

But she was not afraid;
she knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
of why he wasn't there today.

But still her mother worried,
for her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
she tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school
eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees
a dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back,
for everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently,
anxious in their seats.

One by one the teacher called
a student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
as seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name,
every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
a man who wasn't there.

"Where's her daddy at?"
She heard a boy call out.
"She probably doesn't have one,"
another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back,
she heard a daddy say,
"Looks like another deadbeat dad,
too busy to waste his day."

The words did not offend her,
as she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
who told her to go on.

And with hands behind her back,
slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
came words incredibly unique.

"My Daddy couldn't be here,
because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
and how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories
he taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
and taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes,
and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
I'm not standing here alone.

"Cause my daddy's always with me,
even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
he'll forever be in my heart"

With that, her little hand reached up,
and lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
beneath her favorite dress.

And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads,
her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love
of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down,
staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
but its message clear and loud.

"I love my daddy very much,
he's my shining star.
And if he could, he'd be here,
but heaven's just too far.

You see he is a Marine
and died just this past year
When a roadside bomb hit his convoy
and taught Americans to fear.

But sometimes when I close my eyes,
it's like he never went away."
And then she closed her eyes,
and saw him there that day.

And to her mothers amazement,
she witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
all starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them,
who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
they saw him at her side.

"I know you're with me Daddy,"
to the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it,
for each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose..

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
by the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing,
that heaven is never too far.

They say it takes a minute to find a special
person, an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them, but then an entire
life to forget them.

Rule No. 14: Enjoy this while you can. Sure parents are a pain and school’s a bother but someday you’ll realize how wonderful it was to be a kid. Maybe you should start now.

Two six grade boys came to school with knifes, the principal found them and they both said that they had planed to stab to death a another student, because his uncle was in a gang. The other student was a FIRST GRADER!! The principal did not know what to do so he let them go! He didn’t even call the parents! This happened in a small town next to me. It made me cry, my little brother is in first grader and to think that someone was to be stabbing him, the pain, and to think how scared he would be!! The end time is coming we need to pray! That little boy is still in danger!

well.. i live in a smell town called Los molinos, i have lived here for most of my life.. almost 14 years.. people ask me alot if i hate it here.. because we have to drive so far to get places extra.. but the truth is i love it here! i have learn sooo much growing up here.Alot of which teens my age no longer have.. for one thing i would have never meet my Grandparents! Hank, bonnie and bill are no long with use but i love them and miss them more than anything!! I have learned respect for my elders and that's BIG!! so many kids are rude and are not kind to them.. i could keep going but you Hopefully get my point.. i have also realize that all though i share a room with my little brother, and i cant always go, do or get what i want, that's life and god had a reason a plan for us, there is a reason that we are here.. so many people get all up in the moment that they don't stop to look around them and take it in.. i can do that here i love it... i don't have alot but yet, I have ever thing that matters! family, friends a home , oooo AND FOOOD LOL!!! so i have grown and learned and became me right here in HICKS TOWN lol ((((=

I have a wonderful youth group nd church we are growing more nd more. I love my pastor nd his family!!!! I also love my parents more than anything . No matter how many times I fall they are there with loving arms.. No matter how many times I do something wrong they still love me. They both work full time to give me what I need nd want. I never have to worry about having food or lights or a bed. I never had to nd never will. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Ima so great full for that.. Although some times I think there wrong .. I know that there only doing it because they love me nd care. There are a lot of teens out there that would love to have GREAT parents like mi… I could go on nd on nd on lol…. But you get mi point. Ima TRULLY BLESSED!!!

I am a DIVA!! lol I love SHOES, BELTS etx.. i also love doing hair.. I try mah best to stay in style.. me and mah mom are know as the shoe lady’s at are church... i started to count them and go tired at 80 something and i hadn't started on mah shoes lol..
